Favorite Places to SOLO Work Remotely in Barcelona

Exploring Barcelona: The New Hub for Digital Nomads

Here’s a list of all my favorite places to SOLO Work remotely in Barcelona. As an entrepreneur, I like to work from home, but I find I work best when I’m not at my home working. If you know me, you know I’m good at finding the “vibes.” Often you’ll find me with my best friend moving around the city finding the best places to co-work together. We’re not at a specific co-working spaces. We enjoy moving and shaking around the city. We often stay for a few hours, have coffee and lunch and then finish what we started at home.

Mind you also that I just bring my laptop and not much else. Perhaps a journal because I like to write, but I don’t have a huge bag of things, nor do I need a screen.

I made a list of my favorite places to SOLO-work remotely in Barcelona. I’m not affiliated with any of these places. But I often find myself at one of these spaces.

These are all places that I recommend you try in the city. Read through them and find the space and place that have the best “vibes” that work for you.

Not every space and place will be good for you. So read carefully!

Motel One near Parc Ciutadella

Pg. de Pujades, 11-13, Sant Martí, 08018 Barcelona

Motel One is very close to Parc Ciutadella. It’s space is open to co-working after 11am. I like working here because of it’s open space design and chill working vibes. In the evenings, they turn the lights down low and you’re working by candlelight. They serve coffee at a great price (XL coffee for €2.5), cheap snacks and friendly staff. You can work there all day and night. They aren’t fussy and not many people work here. They also have a beautiful rooftop and patio that you can work from in the summer hours. You can come here alone or with a small group. I go here often because I know I can go here and get work done and you can always take a call here.

Cafe de l'Arquitecte

Passatge de la Concepció, 17, L'Eixample, 08008 Barcelona

Cafe de l'Arquitecte is right off of Passieg de Gracia and at the end of the lively street: Passatge de la Concepcio. I love this cafe for it’s bright and cheery atmosphere. You need to get there early to get a good seat and you need to continuously order food/drinks to keep your spot. It can get busy because it’s also a place where the guests of the hotel can eat and drink too. I love to work here on a Thursday/Friday and enjoy a glass of wine and when work doesn’t require me to be so focused. I usually come here alone, it’s not so good for groups or video calls.

H10 Casa Mimosa

C/ de Pau Claris, 179, L'Eixample, 08037 Barcelona

On any day, but especially a sunny day, I love working at H10 Casa Mimosa. First of all, it smells so good in here and the glass roof in the restaurant gives the sunny cheerful vibes. They have a beautiful food menu (highly recommend the fish and beans) and all in all, it’s one of my favorite places to work in the city. I’ve also worked with them to hold meetings and lunches in their restaurant/lobby. The garden in the summer time is just as seducing. HIGHLY recommend this place for working.

Hotel Alma

C/ de Mallorca, 269, L'Eixample, 08008 Barcelona

When I’m alone and I need a creative dark, space to zone out, I always choose Hotel Alma. This is a 5* and luxury hotel and it gives that in everything it does. Everything here is 10/10, but I do especially adore their tea’s. Please only come here if the price range is right for you, if not, you won’t enjoy it. But for those of you who appreciate 5* experience, you’ll thoroughly enjoy Hotel Alma. The japanese inspired garden in the summer is also one to try. I love this hotel so much. It’s dark, quiet, yet seductive vibes is a huge part of my personality.

Hilton Diagonal Mar

Pg. del Taulat, 262, 264, Sant Martí, 08019 Barcelona

Sometimes it’s nice to trick your mind into feeling like you’re working outside of the city and here at Hilton Diagonal Mar, you can do that. The restaurant here and how it flows is gorgeous and the staff give you 10/10 service every single time. They have a musical event every Tuesday. Recommend you enjoy working on the roof (it’s only open in the summer hours), then head downstairs to finish up your work and stay for the Tuesday night event! You’ll feel like you’re on a work-cation.

The Hoxton

The Hoxton hotel is trendy chic and I love Poblenou. Their lobby can be a little busy depending on the time, but just inside the hotel, there is a pizza restaurant called: Four Corners. I love to grab a slice of pizza, a glass of orange wine, and bang out some work. Best part of working here is the music. Their playlist is like no other! Shoutout to that person who created it. I’m always bobbin my head.

La Ikas

Carrer de la Perla, 22, Gràcia, 08012 Barcelona

I found this quant place in Gracia through a friend and I worked here a lot during the summer. The food here is beyond good and everything is homemade. I’m obsessed. I can easily be here all day and I really enjoy the bohemian garden in the back too. I’m not in Gracia a lot, but when I’m in the barrio, I love to get a beautiful slice of quiche.

Honest Greens Barceloneta

Passeig del Mare Nostrum, 15, local 1, Ciutat Vella, 08039 Barcelona

Let’s be honest about Honest Greens. YOU KNOW THEY GOT THE VIBES. Honest Greens just gets it right in all aspects: good food, good service, and a beautiful interior. And we can’t forget about the perks. I’m a fan of the veggie plates and if you buy 10, you get one free. Love to sit in the sun and work at this Honest Greens location. It can get a bit busy during lunch, but this location offers everything you need. If you really wanna be a BOSS, download the app, use MY HONEST GREENS link to sign up and pre order your food on the app. Then when you arrive, head to the fast track lane and scan your phone to skip the line. BOSS MODE.

Sandwich Club Barcelona

C/ de Bailèn, 108, L'Eixample, 08009 Barcelona

Sandwich Club has good food, a Brooklyn style interior and a A$AP Rocky inspired playlist. I love coming here when I need to work but I’m HUNGRAY. Sandwiches are great and the sweet potato fries are amazing. Don’t come here for a meeting or if you need peace and quiet. There’s also not a lot of plugs for charging, but come here on off hours on a week day and you’ll be fine.

Saga Coffee Stories

C/ de Casp, 70, L'Eixample, 08010 Barcelona

Saga Coffee Stories has such a beautiful space to work in the city but also they have amazing coffee and drinks. I love to get a green smoothie here. You’ve go to get here early though because this place can get crowded, but with good reason. They make sure to reserve tables where you can’t work because if not, we Solo-Workers would definitely take over.

**Finding Your Ideal Workspace in Barcelona**

That’s it for my list of all my favorite places to SOLO Work remotely in Barcelona.

But I always think it’s best to know what works for you, find it and build relationships with those spaces.
